Consideration of AT in the IEP
When the IEPT considers AT, there are several choices:
Data for AT in the PLAAFP
Identify Barrier: in other words, ask yourself: "What task does the student need to do that is currently difficult or impossible and for which AT may be an option?"
Prior to IEP, staff person collects baseline data in area of need.
Make sure PLAAFP reflects AT needs. PLAAFP should state specific baseline data.
If AT is already in place or has been tried, in the PLAAFP you should:
* Add the data taken
* Comment on how ongoing AT is supporting the student
